🗣️What's on this week and next! 🏫 Next week is Feb half term and we have some amazing clay activity happening with Alice & Sarah Fraser making the ⬜🟨⬜TILES for the pub building this Saturday and next week! ALL activity is at the Pippin.

🥘 Healthy lunches will be provided during half term - the sessions are longer, 12-4pm.

Saturday 15th February
◍ 1-3pm
Mono-printing with Sarah Crosby @sarahcrosby.ceramics

Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th, Thursday 20th February
◍ ALL sessions 12-4pm
Tiles Production with Alice and Sarah Fraser. @_sarah_fraser We'll be making the tiles for the Pub Building using an extruder and will be very hands on sessions to make as many tiles as we can!

An absolutely gorgeous session today led by the wonderful @rebeccamariadavies and @kiddakinsey - we collected, told and reimagined stories from past, present and future. ☕️✨💬🧡 Today’s findings will inform the illustrations on our bathroom tiles! Thanks to all neighbours and friends who came along - so many fascinating tales were told! 🫶

In January, codirectors @rebeccamariadavies and @annafrancisart and Kim from @mode_uk were invited by the @uniofstaffs Architecture dept to present our work as part of a brilliant Symposium. The presentation shared our approaches to community led architecture - across decision making, design processes and creation - how we can listen, collaborate and work towards a building that represents a multitude of interests and needs. Because WE are the experts of where we live, work and socialise. It’s a joy to work with a construction and design team who cares about this too. Thanks Islam for the invitation - we really enjoy sharing the work! Last two slides are of a year ago when architecture students @uniofstaffs were invited to help us problem solve a design for access to our roof garden (we love a charrette!) and the last slide again because we know our community’s building is in good hands - as illustrated here.
