Hosted by the brilliant @emerrrhhhh - founder of @theotherma and studio holder @theoldwaterworks - where we also met @shauncbadham and @anna.lukala 🌞 The Old Waterworks is a brilliant example of affordable artist studios, and the magical things that can happen when artists and collectives have a supportive space for production ✊✨🙏
Then onto @focalpointgallery and the current solo exhibition of @luciapizzani - thank you for our tour of the show and sharing more of the great work that you and the team do @inesmarquescosta ✨

You will have the chance to help shape and sustain the future of our new studio in collaboration with our team and neighbours. You will work with a creative and dedicated team and contribute to the development of a trailblazing cultural centre that serves the needs and aspirations of the people of Stoke-on-Trent.

The Studio Manager leads the day-to-day running, development and delivery of the creative studio and workshop provision at The Portland Inn Project (PIP), with a particular focus on clay and ceramics.

As the studio is currently in development as part of a wider capital project, a key focus of the role in its initial phase will be to support the set-up of the space - establishing systems, processes and working practices that enable its safe, efficient and sustainable long-term operation.

Anna and Rebecca had a day to remember with @parge

Anna and Rebecca had a day to remember with @pargetterbill - learning traditional pargetting techniques. The day began with a talk about the art of pargetting and an immersion into some of Bill’s amazing projects and a discussion about what constitutes #traditionalpargetting - before getting stuck in to the practice. We are planning to create some community friezes on our lime plastered walls within the building so thank you so much to Bill for showing us how. What a really beautiful process and what a privilege to spend a day with Bill. We can’t wait to share what we have learned with neighbours.

We had a lovely trip to Congleton Physic Garden today to learn all about the plants they grow and all their properties and health benefits. Such a lovely, relaxing time in the garden with neighbours and members of our Gardening Club, led by our artist gardener in residence, @msdmeanar 🌱✨ we chose plants for our green space and a plant for our neighbours 🪏🌳 Thank you to the team of volunteers at the garden and to @woodsideapothecary for the informative tour!
